Tattoo Removal: Risks
Following each treatment session, infection of the area is always a risk. It is important that you keep the area clean and use the anti-infective medication as indicated by your doctor. Another risk following treatment is sunburn. This is why you must use a sunblock with an SPF of 15 at all times when the area is not covered. During the course of treatment, your doctor may notice that you are experiencing heavy scarring. While some minor scarring may be normal, heavy scarring is not and your doctor may decide to stop the tattoo removal process all together.
