Lip Augmentation: More to Know
Lip augmentation is not for everyone who is dissatisfied with the appearance of his or her lips.

Sometimes, the appearance of lips is dependent on your underlying dental architecture. For example, if you have an underbite, such that the upper teeth are positioned behind the lower teeth, the upper lip will look less full. So you first may need to address your underlying dental architecture before considering plastic surgery.

Not all problems can be fixed by a lip augmentation procedure. For elongated lips that look very flat, a lip lift rather than lip augmentation should be considered. For a crooked mouth, or corners that droop, a mouth lift might be considered, instead.

And if you believe the lips you were born with are naturally too big, you can have your doctor make an incision under your nose and along the lip line to remove some tissue.
