Barely B and Me - Post-Op Days
Everything I read was right! The first 2 days after surgery are the worst. The day of surgery, I slept the whole time, only waking to take pain pills and change the frozen bags of Chicken Viola on my chest.

Day 1 post-op: Something I don't want to repeat again. I was on the couch most of the day. It consisted of more sleep, Chicken Viola, medication and an occasional strenuous trip off the couch to the bathroom. To describe how the pain felt, well, if you've ever bench pressed way too much weight with way too many reps - times that by 100. My chest muscles were so sore! The night time seemed to be the worst. I could barely get out of bed without help from my caring husband.

Day two: More of the same, but I was able to get around a little better.

Day three: I felt well enough to take a shower and actually change my clothes. Today, I showered and put on makeup and went to the mall with my friend, who so thoughtfully carried all of my purchases for me! I can't believe how much better I feel than just two days ago. If you would have asked me two days post op if I would be going to the mall in two days, I would have given you a look from "H-E-double hockey sticks"! It's amazing how different I feel than just two days ago. Of course, I am NOWHERE NEAR ready to take on every day activities, but I do feel a lot better. My back is a little strained and it feels really good to sleep with a small pillow between my shoulder blades so it throws my shoulders back. Sticking my chest out to stretch my front feels good, too, but, I have to do that one in private! ; )

As far as how my body looks right now, I am still swollen, although I must admit I like the size they are! (A D-cup! Holy cow!) But, they will go down a bit and settle into place. I was worried that nothing would fit me anymore, but, my clothes do fit, and the clothes I did try on look much better! I am excited to see what results I will have in weeks and months to come. More later....
